Alice grapples with her understanding of the modern world & dresses herself in familiar silhouettes from her past. She assembles a unique mix of Frank’s t-shirts & workwear at first. We watch her explore what it means to have personal style as well as her relationship to the newly liberated female form. As her understanding of her identity forms, her newfound confidence is expressed through bared skin and an embrace of pants. As she learns the true history of Black America, her wardrobe evolves to mirror her thoughts.
