Erie Harbor Late 1980’s
Erie Harbor at it’s most sinister, we see the town through bold slashes of color against a dark and cool background. This will be the only time we see the color black used in the show, though it may be acid washed. We lean into the unusual color pairings of the 80’s to help agitate the frame and give the world a dangerous and unexpected feeling. Nylon, Plastic & 80’s prints help to keep the world foreign to Hilde’s organic Brooklyn upbringing. Heavy branding & logos mirror the contemporary world, but the nostalgic typeface and colors will ground us in Matt’s childhood. We are firmly planted in the late 1980’s to give our show a fresh take.
